Pack your suncream and fly to 1960s Spain with Into Opera for their bold new production of Carmen taking place at the Octagon Barn this summer.

As tourists flock to sizzling Spain to experience the magic of a country of sand, sangria and flamenco the locals are under strict instructions, under General Franco’s regime, to keep up appearances.

Carmen, however, is a woman who makes her own rules!

Bizet’s opera is full of energy, passion, spectacle and conflict, and has earned its place as one of the most popular and exciting operas of all time.

Bring a picnic to enjoy on the Octagon Park Lawn, and enjoy our Spanish themed bar - the summer starts here!

This dazzling new production will be directed by Into Opera’s Artistic Director, Genevieve Raghu and conducted by Olivia Clarke (English National Opera / Glyndebourne).
